Fucoxanthin is a carotenoid phytonutrient found in brown algae.
Fucoxanthin absorbs light primarily in the blue-green to yellow-green part of the visible spectrum.

Applications and Health Benefits of Fucoxanthin
Fucoxanthin shows biological activities such as anti-obesity, anti-oxidant, antitumor, anti-diabetes and anti-inflammatory properties.
The anticarcinogenic activity of fucoxanthin is reported to be the strongest among xanthophylls and carotenoids and is shown to prevent liver and skin cancer due to its antioxidant activity, and breast and prostate cancer through induction of apoptosis.
Fucoxanthin exhibits anti-obesity effects through stimulating the expression of mitochondrial uncoupling protein 1 in white adipose tissue.

Fucoxanthin Brown Seaweed is, according to industry sales data, America's #1 Natural Fat-Loss Solution. Why? Because 1) It's supported by scientific studies carried out on human subjects (4.5 times more weight loss!); 2) It's caffeine-free and non-stimulating (no jitters or lost sleep); and 3) It's 100% natural, an extract from Brown Seaweed, a staple of Asian cuisine for centuries.

Production and Extraction of Fucoxanthin from Algae
Commercial-scale production of fucoxanthin is often found difficult because fucoxanthin is produced by only a few edible brown algae that are refractory to harvesting on a mass scale.

The process of separating fucoxanthin from algae includes the following steps:
1.cleaning of fresh or defrozen algae to eliminate surface salt ion
2. elimination of surface water
3. leaching algae with dimenthyl sulfoxide in 2-6 ml for each gram of algae in dark for 15-60min
4. final extraction of fucoxanthin from dimethyl sulfoxide leached liquid with the mixture solution of ethyl acetate and ammonium sulfate.

Fucoxanthin appears to work by increasing the activity of Uncoupling Protein 1 (UCP1) in White Adipose Tissue.

UCP1, originally known as Thermogenin, is an uncoupling protein which exists in adipose tissue (higher levels found in brown adipose tissue compared to white adipose tissue), the primary function of which is to create heat (thermogenesis).

Increasing the activity of UCP1 can indirectly increase Metabolic Rate which can lead to weight-loss over time assuming caloric intake remains constant.

Fucoxanthin has been also been shown to increase Beta-3-Adrenergic Receptor content in White Adipose Tissue, a direct mechanism by which many fat-burners work.

In addition to targeting fat and helping to facilitate weight loss, Fucoxanthin also appears to benefit cardiovascular health.

The same study referenced above, in which Fucoxanthin caused weight-loss over a period of 16 weeks, also noted improvements in various measures of cardiovascular health.

Specifically, Fucoxanthin was shown to reduce Triglycerides and lower blood pressure.

We specialize in isolating substances from brown seaweed since 1968. Since its establishment, we isolate alginate from brown seaweed, and we grew to be largest producer of alginate in China.

Then we isolate fucoidan from brown seaweed, and sold very well at market. Now our new production line to isolate fucoxanthin from brown seaweed will start to normal production on May 15. we are the first official line to make industrial production of brown seaweed fucoxanthin. We get technical support from University of California.

we can extract fucoxanthin to meet your different demand.
